Born in 1967, completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk, studied law in Trier, Mainz and Trento. Worked at the Institute for International Private Law in Rome and in several commercial law firms before setting up the law firm Schott & Störkmann in Berlin in 1997. Since 2005 partner in the legal practice Verhoefen & Störkmann.
As a partner at Verhoefen, Störkmann, Anwälte. Bernhard F. Störkmann is responsible for the field of creative industries concentrating on copyright and licensing law. He also focuses on turnaround and insolvency law as well as company law.
Since 2007 managing director and legal counsel of the German federal association of film and television actors (Bundesverband der Film- und Fernsehschauspieler - BFFS e.V.).
